1.When established in 1946, it had 5 Faculties:
The year of 1958 offered training in composition; later on there came to
life the Faculty of Folk Instruments, organ specialization, postgraduate and
intern courses, luceum. The Conservatory was contributed by outstanding
musicians

G.P.Guinsburg,Ya.I.Zak,V.P.Portugalov,M.S.pekelis,I.V.Sposobin,
Ya.V.Fliyer,composer A.A.Kasyanov.
The first Rector was A.A.Kogan.
The
acting Rector now is Professor A.A.Nesterov.
2. The Conservatory has 6 Faculties:
which train 750 students (500-of full-time and 250-of part-time and
extra-mural studies).
The structure of the Conservatory also includes
library, training laboratory of sound recording, museum.
3. There are 175 lecturers and instructors on the staff, including 18 Professors and Doctors of Sciences, 60 Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors, 4 People`s Artists of Russia, 25 Honored Artists and Honored Art Workers of Russia.

Conservatory offers training and research programmes for 25 interns and 5
competitors in history and theory of music.
